The Case Against Thomas Piketty. Lies, damned lies, and statistics. The true level of income and wealth inequality in Russia.

Thomas Piketty and his collaborators have published a series of reports where they claim that Russia would in a global comparison be a particularly inequal country in terms of income and wealth distribution. We disagree with this postulation. In our report, we expose the bias and reveal the multitude of methodological errors, distortions and misrepresentation of data, which have gone into producing the Piketty conclusions.
